How do you synchronise with the Grid?

What devises are available for synchronising home generating with the nation grid?

How much are they, and how do they work?

Can anybody Help?

I understand there is a new standard for connecting to the grid by filling out a G83. Anybody filled one in/got a copy?

G83 is the standard that the equipment that connects to the grid must meet, i.e. the grid tie inverter.
